Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) applies to all use of the Citaria services (the “Services”) and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service. We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes take effect on notice to Customer.
1 Use the Services only as intended
Customer and its Authorized Users will not:
(a) Reverse engineer. Decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, models, or underlying structure of the Services, except to the extent applicable law prohibits this restriction.
(b) Resell or operate as a service bureau. Make the Services available to any third party other than its Authorized Users, or use the Services to provide a substantially similar service to others.
(c) Circumvent limits. Bypass or attempt to bypass any access control, usage limit, quota, or metering mechanism, including by creating multiple accounts to obtain capacity not provided under an Order Form.
(d) Scrape or bulk-extract. Use automated means to extract data from the Services other than through interfaces we document for that purpose.
2 Do not attack the Services or other customers
Customer and its Authorized Users will not:
(a) Attempt to access any account, workspace, or data that Customer is not authorized to access.
(b) Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure, without our prior written consent.
(c) Introduce malicious code, or use the Services to distribute it.
(d) Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, including by imposing an unreasonable load on the infrastructure.
3 Content restrictions
Customer and its Authorized Users will not use the Services to process material that:
(a) They lack the rights to submit (see Terms of Service Section 4);
(b) Infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
(c) Is unlawful under applicable law; or
(d) Constitutes Restricted Data, to the extent Section 5 of the Terms of Service prohibits its submission.
4 Consequences
If Customer or an Authorized User violates this AUP, we may suspend access as described in the Terms of Service. Where practicable, we will contact Customer before suspending, and will restore access once the cause is resolved.
